Columbia Metropolitan Airport 2013 Internship Program The Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is currently accepting Letters of Interests and Resumes for the 2013 Airport Summer Internship Program. The internship program is geared toward, but not limited to, students majoring in hotel and tourism, human resources, marketing/public relations, transportation, engineering and/or business administration. The Letter of Interest must state why an Airport Internship would be beneficial educationally and vocationally. The intern will spend approximately seventy-five (75%) percent of the program working on assignments within a designated department (Engineering, Human Resources, Public Relations etc.) and twenty-five (25%) percent of the program with other airport departments. The goal of the internship is to provide students with a well-rounded work experience while introducing them to the many facets of operating an airport and providing real-life hands-on experience in the student’s particular area of interest. Interns must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License. Specific job related requirements will be based on the area of the internship (example: an engineering intern must have a familiarity with AutoCAD, a marketing intern should have experience in photography, videography and social media). The typical work schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday up to eight hours per day for a total of no more than 24 hours per week. Pay is $10.00 per hour.
