Candidates, activists and voters will celebrate Election Day victory at the Marriott in Columbia starting after polls close at 7:00pm
The South Carolina Democratic Party recently announced its plans to bring candidates, voters and grassroots supporters together after polls close at 7pm on Election Day to follow the returns and celebrate the work they have done to restore honest leadership and bring real accountability back to South Carolina’s state government with victories up and down the ballot. All statewide candidates and some local candidates, including gubernatorial candidate Vincent Sheheen, Lt Governor candidate Bakari Sellers, US Senate candidates Brad Hutto and Joyce Dickerson, and Rep. Jim Clyburn, plan to attend.
“South Carolinians are working hard to bring new, honest leadership to South Carolina at all levels of government, and to finally elect a governor that we can trust,” said Chairman Jaime Harrison. “We look forward to bringing our candidates, our volunteers, and voters from around the state together on Election Night to celebrate the results of their hard work as we change the state for the better.”
The party will be held at the Marriott in downtown Columbia at 1200 Hampton Street. Festivities will begin after polls close at 7pm. Members of the public who would like to attend should RSVP here: www.scdp.org/electionnight
